Gentle Ninja Volume

No matter the time of night, my little ninja is on FULL BLAST.

Ash’s fort. If it falls on his face while he's sleeping, it should wake him up, right?

I’m finally under the covers and alone in the bedroom. There’s a soft breeze drifting through the window. As I’m thumbing my thoughts to you on my phone right now, I can feel my eyes getting heavy and my body settling into…

Okay so now I’m AWAKE. Ash gently knocked on the door and I said he could enter. The door opened with a forceful whoosh.

Ash: “HI MOM, I WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW I FINISHED MY FORT AND I AM GOING TO BED NOW.”

Me: “That’s great, but could you bring down your volume, please? Did you take a picture of the fort you made?”

Ash: “No, I turned off my light already. Looks like you’ll just have to come into my room and see.”

Me: “Nope, I’m already in bed. I told you already that I’m not getting out of bed again. You’ll need to…”

With a grin, Ash responded with “I know mom, I’m just kidding. I’ll take a pic and send it to you. Good night, mom. Love you.”

We blew kisses to each other and then he closed the door… loudly. Sigh…

Someday he will remember that it’s quiet hours after ten in the evening. That closing doors gently, walking like a ninja, and bringing down his volume when he’s speaking are kind gestures for the tenants below us. It’s not always like this - I forget too - but I’d like it to become less common.

Okay… I think I can relax now. I feel my body sinking into the bed which is still annoying to me because…

Well, that’s another story.

Hope you’re able to get a good nights rest, while tucked into calm and relaxing energy.

Good night!
