The Triforce: Before they left the world they created, the three goddesses created the Triforce—a magical object made up of three golden triangles—and entrusted it with the goddess Hylia.

The Triforce grants a wish to those who possess the three virtues of the goddesses: power, wisdom, and courage. If one doesn’t have the proper balance of virtues, the Triforce will split into three pieces. Only by reuniting all three pieces can the true power of the Triforce be obtained. My artistic son, Ash,

It has been almost one week, since you drew that AMAZING picture of Link with his shield and sword. Links’ clothes, hair and skin color, and the details you put on his shield were spot on. The size of his head, facial features, and body proportions were all in harmony.

Naturally, I am always impressed with your creations: the starships you build with Legos and the details you add to its body bringing the ship to life. I especially enjoy your imaginative stories behind anything you build, be it train tracks, marble mazes, or the dioramas you like to build with recyclable boxes and LOTS of tape.

You’re able to take an idea in your mind and put it out into the world and explain why it’s the way it is and how it works. I love seeing your self-expression translated through building and artwork. You’re truly leveling up your tactile (hands-on) skills!

And your Link drawing - I’ve been thinking about it everyday. What about THIS particular drawing has captivated me? And it hit me - it was your focus and patience and step-by-step approach that has captivated me.

  • You didn’t treat your drawing like a homework assignment and rush through drawing Link’s body and details. You focused on the details and got it right.

  • You didn’t scribble just to get it done. You erased where you needed to and tried again. You were patient.

  • You didn’t skip ahead and draw different parts of Link or his shield or sword. You drew him, then his shield and added his sword. You created Link using a step-by-step approach.

With focus, patience, and using a step-by-step approach (your own Triforce) you took an idea from your mind and made it real. That is a way of self-expression and you are sharing a part of yourself with the world.

Ash, you really have impressed in my heart that you are fully capable of achieving what you set your mind to doing. It is a life skill that will be part of your many superpowers. Can’t wait to see what you draw next!

Love Always,

Mama
